Dr. Gunn Selected for Prestigious Porter Prize

Dr. Kathryn Gunn has been selected by the American Society of Cell Biology (ASCB) to receive the Porter Prize for Postdoctoral Research Excellence! The award, which honors the innovative spirit of one of ASCB’s founders, Dr. Keith Porter, recognizes novel and creative contributions to the advancement of science.

The award recognizes Dr. Gunn’s discovery of quaternary structure regulation of lipoprotein lipase during vesicle storage. The award will be given at the 2023 ASCB conference in Boston. Dr. Gunn will also give a presentation at the conference on her recent work entitled “Filamentation of Lipoprotein Lipase in Secretory Vesicles.”
